Here's an oldie by goodie I've had bookmarked since the summer. It's an actual house that was for sale in Melbourne, Australia (it sold). I love the clean, contemporary look of the white and wood, with the perfect amount of color splashes. More photos here and here. (via Desire to Inspire)

HI Cate! And thanks for the comment on Desire to Inspire. Heck, I'd take 95% of the houses featured on that site over ours. They are pretty amazing -- like this one. It was just fun for me to look back at the transformation of our place. I really wish we added a floor plan or something. Ironically, I agree with half the negative comments -- we could use better curtains and furniture. But I was also surprised at how harsh some people were. I don't like everything I see either. I don't think it's ever crossed my mind to even comment on a post if I don't like it -- because clearly, it's just not my taste. Oh well. Cheers, from snow-covered Chicago!
