Our friends from the old neighborhood, Amy & Graham, their two girls and dog -- "Chuck, the Amazing Flying Wonder Dog" -- came up for a visit. Within 15 minutes of them being here, Charlie (Chuck TAFWD's real name), leaped off our second floor porch. Thankfully, Brian was right below him, ducked, and the dog landed on Brian's back to soften the blow. Also good news is the fact that Chuck TAFWD is only 20 pounds. It was pretty entertaining though, to say the least. The first place we took our guests was Rockerbox -- a street fair and motorcycle show. We had to show them a bit of the Milwaukee motorcycle culture after all. The bikes were amazing, and we met my Dad, who rode his Harley there, and saw a bunch of friends as well. The boys were super excited because the Smage Brothers, who are currently on America's Got Talent, were did a show. C had a front row seat, and the boys even got their autograph.
After we got home, we packed up our beach clothes and went to Doctor's Park. We were all so roasted from RockerBox, that even us adults went swimming in Lake Michigan. Actually, I've never been in it before where it's actually enjoyable, but it was so refreshing. We brought some wine and cheese and crackers, and spent a good part of our afternoon there. Once at home, we made a delicious quesadilla dinner on the fire pit, and just hung out. It was a great day and evening.
