Camping - Governor Dodge State Park Day 1

I'm doing it again! Too many photos to put in one post, so our little Labor Day camping trip will have to span over a few days. Saturday morning, we packed up the boys and traveled to Governor Dodge State Park in Dodgeville, Wisconsin with Leif, Melissa and the kids, and Graham, Amy and the girls. Let me just say, it was an absolute blast. The drive is about 3.5 hours. We left in the morning, and set up camp around 12:30. After lunch (amazing sandwiches by Melissa), we went on a little hike to Stephens' Falls and the Lost Canyon Trail. It was absolutely beautiful -- and chilly, but the kids had a blast playing under the falls and hiking along the river. We had campfire dinners (so fun) and a s'more buffet courtesy of Amy. Seriously, I've never seen anything like it. Our choices were: original graham crackers or cinnamon; dark chocolate, milk chocolate, caramel chocolate or Reese's peanut butter cups. It was amazing. You kind of can't go wrong with any combination. We stayed up too late by the campfire, and just had a great, great time. More to come tomorrow......
