Wisconsin Weekend :: Day 1
We celebrated the end of summer by taking a little vacation. We had booked a couple nights at the Seth Peterson Cottage a year ago, and have been looking forward to it ever since. The Seth Peterson Cottage on Mirror Lake was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1958, and was his last Wisconsin building. It is owned by the State of Wisconsin, and to say it's an honor to be able to stay here is an understatement. Once we picked up our keys, we walked down to the lake and took out the canoe, which is part of the rental. The area had just been hit by some crazy storms a day before, so there were a bunch of fallen trees. But it was gorgeous. Brian and H went to the grocery store to pick up some food, while C and I enjoyed a spectacular sunset.
