Today was one of those days that will be on top of the awesome list for a long, long time. It was, absolutely perfect. The Elsmo 4 (Emma is gone for several weeks dancing with Hubbard Street, but Elise from France was there), and Amy, Graham and the girls met up with the five of us for our own little taste of Chicago. We started off by going over to Navy Pier and taking a ferris wheel ride. From there, we hopped on a water taxi which took us to Chinatown for some dim sum. While this sounds very easy, and was extremely fun, truthfully, by the point, we had walked miles and were all starving. You wouldn't believe the amount of food we all consumed. Dim sum can be a little bit overwhelming. The minute you sit down, carts with food and people you can't totally understand come flying out at you. But the best part of the meal was watching the kids (who were at their own table) take control of the situation and go to town. I can honestly say, we all have some pretty stellar kids -- who are polite, adventurous and fun. It was awesome to sit and watch them. After lunch, we hopped on a bus and walked through Grant Park & Millenium Park before saying our goodbyes. All of us had such a great time. C's favorite part of the day was the candy store in Chinatown. H's favorite was the water taxi and free bus ride we got. And M said his favorite part was taking photographs at "The Bean."
