I honestly cannot believe how this has happened, but it's been months (like, nearly 10) since I've been in Chicago! That's crazy, and this weekend confirmed that we just have to make it happen more often because my gosh do we miss it! We couldn't wait to show M one of our favorite cities. I think he was pretty impressed too. It started with lunch at Cafe Iberico, which made him very happy (and is the first restaurant Brian brought me to when we first met). After walking around a little bit, we checked into our hotel, quickly changed, and went out to Oak Park for a little party our friends were having. You see, they too are hosting a person from overseas -- specifically, and adorable girl from France, who just had arrived the night before. To celebrate, Melissa made an ode to America dinner that was truly awesome. We spent the evening catching up with friends, making new ones. None of us wanted it to end.
