Ice Cream Sandwich Truck

I've been told it's pretty cold outside, but the sun is streaming in through the windows in the building I work in, so I'm going to imagine otherwise. Then I found out about this! CoolHaus an ice cream sandwich truck with natural, handmade ice cream between two cookies. Even the wrapper is edible (although, I can't believe that part is particularly good). I think I might have a slight obsession with the idea of the ice-cream truck (first, it was snow cones, now this!). Maybe it's because they didn't pass through our neighborhood in the middle of Wisconsin where I grew up. Or maybe it's because we only have a few really warm months out of the year, and as soon as it gets a little nice out, the ice-cream truck can regularly been seen where we currently live. It's so fun watching how excited the kids get when they hear it (unless, it's right before dinner time, which is actually what usually happens). If something like CoolHaus was to drive by, I might be there right along with them. (images from CoolHaus - originally seen via Cupcakes & Cashmere)

Ack! Ice cream trucks - the bane of my downtown summers!! I hated those things when we lived in Chicago. Endless hours of listening to tinny versions of "The Entertainer" and "Pop Goes the Weasel". It would take me a day to get the songs out of my head and then they'd come back! In my neighborhood it was always icky ice cream, so there wasn't even that redeeming factor.

Now this truck - these guys I might not mind. Provided their music is better, of course ;)
