After over 24 hours of travel, we made it to Malta. O'Hare > Montreal > Heathrow > Malta. Our kids are excellent travelers, but this one didn't go quite as smoothly as normal. Poor H is suffering from a crazy cold and his sinuses were going nuts. And C ended up getting a migraine headache on the flight to London, and after getting sick, slept most of the way. He still wasn't 100% as we were navigating our way through terminals in London. Let's just say, we are lucky we grabbed some of the sick bags or our trip on the train would not have been pleasant. Fortunately, after that and another nap en route to Malta, he was himself again. And both kids were super sports the entire time. We had given ourselves 4 hours in London to transfer flights. Thought that would be plenty of time, but our plane to Heathrow was 1 hour late, and the que to customs in London was insane. Fortunately, I asked someone if we were in the correct place and when she found out when our flight was, she said we'd never make it and let us go to the front of the line. I'm sure everyone loved us, but she was right. Can't thank her enough.

Once in Malta, our Airbnb host arranged transportation to the rental. Thank goodness. Driving is like Italy but on the opposite side of the street. We are getting a car later. It's going to be crazy. Our apartment is in Senglea in the Three Cities. It's clean and beautiful and comfortable, and the views are insane (check out the live webcam here). We could sit here and stare at it for days. To fight our jet-lag, we decided to walk along the harbor to the convenience store and get some groceries. Grocery stores are one of our favorite places to visit any time we travel so it was perfect. At night, we just found a restaurant close by (Tal Barklor) which was perfect. C and I had pizza,  Brian had rabbit ravioli and H had rabbit stew. Plus, the World Cup game (Brazil vs. Belgium) was on. Actually, it's on everywhere! Every restaurant or bar pulls out a TV and is showing it. How can you not love that?
