We were trying to make plans to see our friends Jesse and Kim while they were in town visiting, and were beyond thrilled when they asked if we would mind company on New Years Eve. Are you kidding? I adore these people, and couldn't imagine anything more perfect ringing in the new year with them and their mini crew. We were so excited. For the last few years, we've just stayed home, dining on courses throughout the night. We've enjoyed it with friends, and just the four of us. But it's what my kids ask to do every year. Scott and Ali stopped by with the kids and Ali's dad for a quick visit, New Year's cocktail, and appetizers. Then from 6:00 pm - 1:00 am, the nine of us basically cooked, ate, laughed and played Just Dance. Hilarious. All but one of the kids lasted until new year. The evening just flew by. What a blast.
