Decided to leave the beach for a bit and visit Charleston. So much history -- sadly, some very too. But spectacular buildings and gardens. What a beautiful city. We also wandered around the College of Charleston. Interesting for our sophomores to see, but also, we know a couple people there which was fun. Lunch was at Rodney Scott's, and was so good. (Brian and the boys watched the episode about him on Chef's Table). Afterwards, The Frig's went back, and we went to the Pineapple Fountain. Once we got back, we made a quick visit to the beach then met up for dinner at Bowen's Island. We had been enjoying a few too many oysters so couldn't bring ourselves to order them, but this is exactly the kind of restaurant you hope to find. It was perfect.
