Afternoon in Racine
What a beautiful, crisp fall day. It started out with soccer games. Both the boy's team won. H even scored a pretty sweet goal! After we came home, we tended to our sorely neglected yard a bit (not enough), then drove to Racine. C decided to stay home and hang out with Grandma, but the rest of us met up with Brian's sister and her family at Party on the Pavement. It was quite the packed scene. Thankfully, they were actually hanging out at a bar called envi, so we joined them there for a drink. It was a lot of fun people watching and walking around though. Racine is loaded with some incredible buildings. Sadly, many of them are empty, but they still are beautiful. And as we were walking around, we came across a drag car, which H got to sit in. Against his will a bit (check out his face...). He was asked if he wanted to, and he got all shy. The guy manning the car just picked him up and put him in it. I don't even think H realized what was going on a first. It was kind of funny. Later, we met up with Grandma and C and made pizzas on the grill. It was a really nice day.
