I just had the most incredible weekend in Memphis, Tennessee to celebrate Sophie's graduation from Tulane. This is the third mom squad trip, and I just love this tradition so much. So far we've been to New Orleans and Nashville -- now Memphis. We all shared our photos and had fun with a disposable digital camera, so warning -- there are so many great photos I had a hard time restraining myself. I drove to O'Hare and met up with Penny and Gracie, who found it hilarious I had a printed copy of the itinerary. Mel flew out of Milwaukee and was supposed to meet up with us. Unfortunately, her flight from Milwaukee was delayed so she missed the Chicago connection and wasn't able to meet up with us until dinner. Such a bummer. It was a quick flight, and we were all so excited to be meeting up with Sophie and Amy, who flew in the day before, and Emma who came in from New York City. Our house was absolutely perfect for us. Amy did such a great a job planning the whole weekend. Our first destination was Sun Studio. It was a short, but very cool tour. So many great recordings have been made there, and its still in use today! You could just feel the greatness. After our tour, we came back to the house, spiffied up and headed for dinner at The Majestic Grille where Mel finally was able to meet up with us, and toasts were made to the graduate. After dinner, we walked over to The Peabody for their Thursday night Rooftop Dance Party. Amazing views and such a blast. After our big travel day, we all decided to call it a night pretty early. Such a great day.
