By some stroke of luck, Hudson and Cole had Spring Break the same week. Hudson graduates this year, and it's not lost on us that these moments are increasingly special. It was so excited to have this week together. I picked Cole up last Friday. Hudson came home on Saturday. We left Sunday for a 5:55 pm flight ORD > AMS > OPO. I of course sandwiched myself between Hudson & Cole for the flight. We arrived at 10:30am and dropped our bags off at the train station. First stop was Epocha cafe, where I had a delicious rice bowl with shiitake and egg. The whole meal was great. After wandering around for a bit, we were able to check into the house. Area is great. Space is great. Heat/AC is not working, so it's hard to regulate the temperature. Oh well. Brian and I headed out to a grocery store while the boys rested, then we went to Voyager, a new cocktail bar around the corner. Dinner was Mercado da Bohla for vino verde & a cheese plate, then over to Casa Guedes for a pork sandwich. Then it was time to call it a day. This city is amazing, and we are all very happy to be here.
