Made a few Christmas cookies. Mortadella Cookies (gift link), Zebra-Striped Shortbread Cookies, Pan-Banging Ginger Molasses Cookies (might be my favorite this year), Yum Balls. I also made Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies (gift link), which taste good, but kind of fell apart since I didn't have the right size pan.
One last field trip of the year -- Athena got to spend the afternoon with me ... and Cole and Brian. She loved all of the extra attention. We took her to Woof Gang (she's on a restricted diet so couldn't enjoy all of the special treat, but Van and Gretel scored -- our friend owns the shop) and on a long walk along the lakefront.
She was so full of energy and just so happy. I met her last week when I was returning Zeus, and knew if she was still there, I had to take her. I was right. She was such a joy to hang out with. We all loved it and Athena and I wore Brian and Cole out. They were exhausted. Ha!
Hudson got home Tuesday night and to keep things simple, we had family fondue night. This might need to be a new tradition. It was so fun, and tasted delicious.
Gretel was into it too.
And here she is keeping an eye on the house. She's such a sweet, silly girl.
