Super Bowl 2014
It was a weekend filled with soccer. C's team was in the final playoffs, with C scoring 3 of the 4 goals. They ended up losing with an unfortunate handball, resulting in a penalty kick in overtime. It was a great game to watch. H's team was in a futsal tournament this weekend. Despite having quite a few players out sick, the team did alright! They won one, and lost two. And H had a stellar performance this weekend, and scored a goal himself. Thank goodness I love soccer so much, because it was pretty much a perfect weekend if you ask me.
And of course, Sunday night was the Super Bowl. We had our own little party -- Brian's been a lifetime Bronco's fan (proof) and C had been cheering for the Seahawks for several years now. I'm not really sure how that happened. Needless to say, my guys just wanted to sit and watch the game in peace, while feasting on some Super Bowl food. Rumor has it, we had chips and dip -- but I didn't get to see any of that. We also made chicken wings, lentil enchilada wonton cups (yum), bacon wrapped artichoke hearts, and olive cheese puff pastry.
