4th of July weekend! It always officially feels like summer now.
On the 3rd, we went to our friends for their annual gathering. Their next door neighbor is a professional fireworks guy, and puts on a huge show each year. As their neighbor, we get to enjoy it too. It's seriously amazing.
The next day, we went to the Whitefish Bay parade.
Afterwards, we went to my friend Kim's house. The boys went their separate ways, so Brian and I had a nice, quiet evening at home. Which was perfect. We were tired and so hot since it was a million degress out. Not my favorite.
Brian (and most of the country) had off on Monday since the 4th fell on a weekend. We loaded the hounds up in the car, and took them to the beach.
Gretel was in absolute heaven and wouldn't stop swimming.
Van, not so much. But it was his first time after all. And, he didn't hate it.
Tuesday, Brian had cataract surgery! So yes. He's basically a 70 year old living in a 50 year old body. Very glad he got it done. His eye has been driving him crazy. It's so much better.
