The last month and a half has been a whirlwind of fun. We've been able to spend time with so many people and it's been completely awesome. The last of our guests left this morning, and I'm so sad about it. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many creative people who are fun, kind, motivating and inspiring. When Yvonne (and Greg) leaves, I always feel so refreshed and alive. It's the only way to explain it.

We met Bill & Raluca at Fuel for brunch on New Year's Day. Afterwards, we came back home and Greg made pork and sauerkraut -- a tradition of Yvonne's to bring good luck in the new year. Bill brought a couple growlers which we enjoyed with it. Sadly, we had to say good-bye to them that night as they headed back to Chicago. We were all exhausted from our late night so hunkered down and watch Why Him. Hilarious.

The next day, the boys had to go back to school already! Yuck. It's been so brutal cold out, so you don't want to spend much time outside. We had a delicious, relaxing lunch at Bavette, then went to the Milwaukee Art Museum. (The crazy tapestries and sculptures are an exhibit by Jaime Hayon.) Later, we had dinner at Wolf Peach with the boys, then watched another movie -- Ingrid Goes West.  Today was back to normal. Brian went back to work. He dropped Greg & Yvonne off on the way. It's been a great holiday season, for sure.
