After a really good night of sleep and walk along the beach, we headed into Charleston. It was so sunny and gorgeous. Not beach weather, but perfect walking and eating weather. We walked along King Street then went to Leon's for fried chicken & oysters. I'm not usually a fan of char-grilled oysters but these were crazy good. That afternoon the Pettit guys wanted to get back to watch the Leeds soccer game, while Penny and I walked to the Folly Beach pier, which I guess just opened the day before we got there. That night we went for dinner at Bowens Island, which was always one of our favorites. The vibe still gets five stars, but we were all disappointed with our food. So sad! Oh well. That night we played games at home and went to bed kind of early -- which was the kids cue to hit the town for ice cream.
