A couple years ago we went to Folly Beach, SC with The Frigs. We had such a great time that we decided to meet up there again this year. We left the day after Christmas and drove 547 miles to London, KY. It was a long day, with really backed up traffic throughout most of Indiana. We had dinner at the Waffle House by our hotel and called it a night. The next morning we left really early, again hitting major traffic. It was a 477 mile day and we were so excited to get to the house and meet up with our friends. First of all, the house is perfect. Comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms. Lots of space. Great group areas, but also enough space for quiet time. A dining room table that fit the eight of us. Close to the little downtown area, but not right in all the hub bub. Best of all, it was right on the ocean. All we had to do was walk down the short path to reach the beach. That evening, the guys made a quick stop at the grocery store then picked up pizza at Zepplin. Everyone went to sleep pretty early -- except Cole and Hudson who walked to Bert's for ice cream. Let's just say, once word got out about that, it became a nightly occurrence for the kids. Once the grown men rained on their parade and joined, but otherwise, it was their little outing after the old people went to bed. Thankfully Bert's is open 24/7 365 days a year. Love it.
