Day two, aka Brian's birthday! Not a bad place to wake up. We relaxed, swam in the gorgeous pool, and just kind of got a lay of the land. Brian and I walked over to what turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip for me, Cerritos Beach Dogs. I visited every day. It's just such a special place. A dog rescue that also educates and funds future spay and neuters, adopts stray dogs with new homes, and raises funds through their cafe and donations. The women who run it are kind, passionate and just lovely people. The dogs were so happy and chill. I loved it there. That afternoon, we drove to Flora Farms. I've heard so many great things and it didn't disappoint. We had a lovely lunch and did some shopping before stopping by Acre, a treehouse resort with dog rescue and animals. It was pretty cool. That night, we walked to Barracudas Cantina and had a delicious meal and met up with some friends both old and new. It was a great day.
