We've had our van almost two years now. Brian uses it as his daily driver, but the ultimate plan was that he would occasionally work on the road. Unfortunately, that just hasn't happened -- until now. Finally he got to test our his mobile office. He drove it to Phoenix, where he was for the Final Four basketball tournament. After a week, we were reunited when I flew out and met him. I didn't arrive until the afternoon, so we drove a couple hours to a town called Earp, California. Don't worry, we never had heard of it either. It was a place Brian found out about while at a different campsite along his journey. We stayed at a KOA right on the Colorado River, which was pretty cool. The other fun thing about Earp, is there are wild burros. We saw the signs for them, but were excited to see a herd almost immediately. On the way out, we saw another single burro. Even the entrance to our campsite had grates on the ground so they couldn't get in. Dinner was pretty low key. Perfect for our first night on the road.
