Last weekend was Grandma's 80th birthday, so to celebrate, we went out of town for a few days. Brian and I had such a great time in Door County last summer, and thought it was the perfect spot for a quick getaway. We stayed at the cutest VRBO -- perfect for our little group. The hilarious thing is, is when I got home, my friend Penny texted me to say that they stayed at the same exact place when they were in Door County a couple weekends ago. You guys, there's hundreds of rentals there, and we ended up at the same place. No wonder we are friends. And travel well together.

We couldn't leave until the boys were home from school, so didn't arrive to the house until sunset. But what a sunset it was. You can't help but have a great weekend when you are greeted with something like that. Lucky for us the house was right across the street from Lake Michigan. It was amazing. Because we had just spent a couple hours in the car, we decided to keep it simple and had Wild Tomato pizza for dinner, and birthday cake at home later.
