Germany - Day 8

Back to Germany. Only a few more days -- promise. On Day 8, we were supposed to wake up and meet Claudia -- Andrea and Stefan's cousin -- in Lübeck. But we had already called the night before to say we just needed a day to relax a bit. Thank goodness, because Brian woke up and could barely walk because his back hurt so much (probably from carrying C around on his shoulders throughout Hamburg), so the first stop was the doctor's office. Fortunately, as the day went on, his back got better, but it was a good call I think. So instead of Lübeck, we went and toured my host-father's company. It's grown quite a lot since last time we were there, and is really very interesting. After lunch with my Germany Papi and host-brother, we went to Noctalis, to see the Fledermäuse (bats). We couldn't go into the caves because the bats were hibernating. But it was still very interesting. (FYI - Bad Segeberg also has an Indian Village and Wild West area, which made us laugh a bit.) That night, we went over to Andrea's for a little bit, then relaxed at home. After all, the next day was the main reason we came.
