Moments 05 26 :: Week 02

Last week, Augsburg had the Auggie Awards. Cole's last university did nothing like this, so it was unexpectedly fun. And it was live streamed. The best part is, the Mens' soccer team won team of the year. Their striker was also Athlete of the year. It was all so exciting and very deserved.

They even had a red carpet, so we got a glimpse of Cole. Sneaking away from being interviewed. Everyone was so dressed up and dapper. Of course, the soccer team rolled in with button down shirts and bed head. Typical. I love it.

En route to the kennel before our St. Louis trip.

On Monday, I took Zucchini out on a field trip. She is amazing. She came from an overcrowded shelter with her puppies -- the veggie group -- and was recently weaned from them. She didn't really respond to her name but I think it's hilarious. My poor girl was exhausted. We sat down to get some water and she took a cat nap. She also opted for sleep over a pup cup. I was happy to get her out of the loud shelter for a bit. And the really good news is, she's currently on a shelter break, hopefully getting a lot of R&R.

Love it when I get photos like these sent. Finn and Rosie, and Cole and Zoe enjoying a beautiful night in Minneapolis together.

We are trying something new with Van. Once a week, he's getting picked up and taken on an adventure walk. This was his first week and he did great. He was introduced to a very mellow dog named Walter, and the goal is for him to get a little more socialized and go on pack walks. He is fine when a dog just walks by, but the minute they want to say hello, he reacts. Need to nip the one in the bud. Hence, adventure walks. Excited to see how it goes.

Cole finished another semester and is home for a couple of days! Yay! This will be the first summer without him. Hudson was only home one summer, after his freshman year. So we got to have Cole around longer than that, and honestly, I'm pretty excited that he gets to stay in Minneapolis. He'll be busy taking classes (transferring didn't help his credits), playing soccer and working. He'll be busy. We stopped by Stone Creek for breakfast. That place is so good.

We also decided to go to Cute Robot for dinner. It was perfect. Brian had work he had to do that night and Cole was finishing a project so it was a good distraction for a bit.

It's Japanese street food. It's fun and decent. We had chicken katsu, a fried rice omelet, onigiri, and takoyaki.
