We got to dress fancy last weekend.

lastweek061825-2
And enjoy a pasta dinner while listening to some opera.

lastweek061825-3
Our friend, Brian's co-worker, Krista invited us to Pasta an Puccini, a fundraiser for the Florentine Opera. Here we are pictured with the Summer Studio artists. They were incredible.

Sunday was Father's Day and we got to celebrate this guy, and our other favorite dad, with a cruise around Beaver Lake.

lastweek061825-4
Christie, Maia, Caleb, my parents and the three of us were all there. Sadly, Hudson was working. That's going to be happening a lot. We love what he's doing, but boy do we miss him.

My Dad and his girls.

lastweek061825-8
Happy Dad.

We even jumped in for a little dip. It had been so cloudy out all day, but honestly, was perfect when we were out on the lake.

lastweek061825-9
Afterwards, we went to The Kiltie for some ice cream. It's been forever since I've been there.

lastweek061825-10
It hasn't changed much at all. I love it.

lastweek061825-11
On Monday I took Dior out for a Field Trip. She is such a fun dog who is up for an adventure. She loved sniffing and rolling around in the grass. She also has the most amazing blue eyes. We had an absolute blast.

Moments 06 25 :: Week 02

lastweek061325-2
Field Trip dog of the week was Mulan MuuMuu. Just look at that smile! She loved being out, and I loved being able to take her. She could have gone all day.

lastweek061325
Mulan and I saw so many goslings!

lastweek061325-3
She was such a good girl. It's always sad bringing them back, but it looks like another foster family snagged her for the weekend. Yay.

lastweek061325-4
Happy 11 year CrossFit-Anniversary to me! Time sure flies when you are having fun. I am such a different athlete and person than I was when I first entered the gym so many years ago. It's been so good to me.

We had THE BEST weekend in St. Louis. Actually, it rained a lot, so that wasn't awesome. But what was awesome, was this was the first time we've all been together since the holidays and my gosh, it felt amazing. Brian flew in from Los Angles, where he had been for work that week. Cole and I drove down in Hudson's new ride. Nina and Papa sold him their old car. I think it's going to be perfect. Cole hasn't been to visit Hudson since graduation last year, so he was able to see Hudson's house which was nice. We had an incredible dinner the first night at Stew's Food and Liquor. Honestly, it was probably the best Negroni I've ever had too. The next day we had lunch at Balkan Treat Box -- another one of my favorites -- then wandered The Loop and shopped at United Provisions for some international food goodies. That night, we had tickets to Peter Hook at The Pageant. And, we got to finally meet Natalie! Yay! Saturday was the Tower Grove Farmer's Market and Anheuser-Busch brewery tour. We've been wanting to do that for awhile. Later, we met up at Hudson's place and all of us went to Yellowbelly for another delicious dinner. Before we left for Wisconsin, we met up with Hudson at Damn Fine Hand Pies. Everything there is so good. The P4 sure knows how to eat well, that's for sure. We all had a such a great time. Already cannot wait until the next time we are all together.

Moments 06 25 :: Week 01

lastweek-060625
Beware, lots of dog photos this week. This just captures Van perfectly. He's so happy and carefree. I love it.

lastweek-060625-2
Old lady Gretel. At 11 years old, she still has so much spunk. Just look at all the salt and pepper though. I think it's so cute.

lastweek-060625-3
These two are always by each other's sides.

lastweek-060625-4
On Sunday I traveled to Oak Park to meet with the dream team behind Emma + Toby's wedding. I was just there for moral support -- and was Mel's ride home -- but seriously, this group is a creative force that includes the Upholster at the Lyric Opera, most amazing florist, and of course our very own interior designer, Amy. Penny and Mel aren't to be messed with either. Their style and knack for making anything special is unmatched. This is going to be quite the event and I cannot wait.

lastweek-060625-5
Afterwards, Mel treated us to brunch at Babygold. Delicious.

lastweek-060625-6
Met my third shelter dog for a field trip. This is Star, the most mellow one-year old puppy I've ever met. She preferred snuggles over walking or her toys, and wanted to meet everyone who walked by her. Fortunately, she got lot of takers and would just melt into them. Here she is looking a little unsure of what is going on.

lastweek-060625-7
By the end of our day though, she was such a happy camper. I had such a great time and hope she did too. What a sweetie.
