Moments 04 22 :: Week 05

How do I look? (Minus the messed up lip - I needed to get a treatment on it thanks to a sunspot...). We've been toying with this idea for years. Timing might be right soon. 

My friend is fostering these two cuties. Thankfully, she always lets me know when she had fosters so I can come over and play with them. Aren't they adorable?

It's dog week! I met Louie when he came to open gym. He's quite the lover and likes his kisses. A lot. 

Better. He looks big, but is a Cattle Dog / Chihuahua mix. So really not. 

Perfect. Ranunculus are definitely one of my favorites. 

Moments 04 22 :: Week 04

One batch of hardboiled. The other blown out. Hoping one of these days I'll get around to doing an Easter tree. Only Hudson helped -- a teeny tiny bit -- this year.

Easter morning. Never too old for an Easter egg hunt. (Hudson got one more than Cole this year).

Van wondering where his basket is. Last year we were in Florida on Easter, so technically, this is his first Easter. No plastic eggs were harmed. A miracle. 

Joan invited all over for Easter dinner. It was an absolute feast. Always lots of laughs.

Moments 04 22 :: Week 03

Friday night Cole's team had an 8pm soccer game in Rockford. In an absolute blizzard. 

Meanwhile, Hudson and some other members of the SLU Club Swim team traveled to Atlanta, GA for Nationals. He qualified for two individual events (100m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke), and swam four relays. 

It was a huge deal, and super exciting to watch, even via live stream. He even got under 30 seconds for the 50 breast - a new PR. I'm so glad he got to experience this.

We were back in Rockford on Sunday for two more games. No blizzard, but so crazy windy. It might have actually been worse. They ended up winning two games, and tied the last. During the break, we found a pho restaurant. I love mango sticky rice, but never order it. Not sure why. We decided to split one, and it seriously is one of my favorite things. Yum.

One of my CrossFit friends had to have breast cancer surgery this week (stage 1, and she's doing great). Another friend made her some cupcakes. They are just too great. 

Another exciting thing happened. We toured St. Norbert and met with the soccer coach. It was a great day. 

Huddy is home! He flew in on Thursday for Easter break. Decided to go out for a Friday Night Fish Fry. A Wisconsin tradition that we never do for some reason. Probably because it's pizza night in our house. Love having him home. 

Moments 04 22 :: Week 02

And just like that, Hudson is 20. It was our first birthday away from each other. He had a great time, celebrating with some friends. Could not be more proud of this guy. 

It was also our friend and coach's birthday. Two of the gang recently had babies, who even came to join in the fun. 

He's such a weirdo. And we adore him. 

Moments 04 22 :: Week 01

Biggest event of the week was that this little stinker celebrated her 8th birthday! Don't let that grey face fool you. She's not as crazy as she used to be (thank goodness), but she's still full of energy. Happy birthday, Gretel!

Meanwhile, the snuggles with this guy are still real. Seriously, he always needs to be by our sides.
