Our friends Steph & Aaron live on the river, and invited us over for an ice-skating party!
It reminded me of growing up and ice-skating on the lakes. Aaron had plowed a big rink, which was so fun.
They also had a bonfire. We all loved this day so much.
Meanwhile, Hudson was a mere 1.5 hours away, at a club swim meet at Northwestern. He got a 23.55 split in the 200 Medley (he swam 50 free), 31.08 in 50 breast, 1.01.54 in the 100 IM, and 1.07.15 in the 100 breast, which qualified him for the nationals. So proud of him. Sadly, we couldn't watch it in person due to COVID. One of these days, hopefully. It's been over two years since we've seen him swim and I can't wait to see him in action again.
What I wake up to every day. He's so cute. Those freckles.
We enjoyed ice-skating so much that the three of us headed over to our local rink on Monday night. It's been years.
