EAA Airventure 19
H & Brian have been going to the EAA Airventure for a few years now. They actually spend a couple nights camping there, and take it all in. I'm not going to lie ... I always thought they were crazy. This year, C and I met them for a day. It definitely helped that they know the ropes, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. We put in a full day, arriving around 11:30 am and leaving around 11:30 pm. The entire event is really well put together, and people from all over the world come it for it. It's fascinating. The best part though, is getting to see H in his element. It's crazy how much he knows about aviation, and just so amazing watching him there. What a great day.

Moments 07 19 :: Week 04
H decided he wants to make hot dogs from around the nation. First up, the NY Street Cart Hotdog.
Brian & five friends from the gym rode the Scenic Shore 150 for LLS. It was a great group of people, and they had an absolute blast. The first day was cut short, however. Horrible weather made them call the race. They waited for a bit, then went to check in to the hotel, only to find out it was out of power. Fortunately, Justin (my cousin) was there too, and was with a group of quick thinking riders who reserved the last 4 rooms at a different hotel. He seriously saved the day. The next day, however, was perfect. They rode strong and steady and made up to Sturgeon Bay without an issue. I may need to train myself for it next year!
Meanwhile, H had to work, so C and I hit up the South Shore Farmer's Market. Couldn't leave without a Pete's Pop! I tried the Lemon Poppyseed. Amazing.
C was at friends for dinner, and H was up north at a friends cabin all week! I had to go to the eye glasses store, which was a great excuse for a little motorcycle ride. Perfect night for it.
My mom invited me to Guest Day at the country club. The once a year I play tennis. Felt a little rusty, but still had fun. My sister stopped by to join us for drills as well. Great seeing both of them.

Moments 07 19 :: Week 03
They may look like nice people, but I honestly think they were trying to kill me. 47 miles on Saturday. My longest ride yet. The best part is, Brian was in Japan the week before, and just got home Friday night. I was so excited that he was able to join us!
Check out this amazing view though. We switched things up and rode south this time. We were blown away by the beach at Grant Park.
A beautiful little waterfall in Grant Park. The structure in the back was pretty cool too.
Escargot. Poutine. Beignets. Crêpes. Bastille Days
Found a day we all had off and went met up with Nina & the cousins at Chenequa.
These are always the best days. Just look at that! We even floated around the lake for awhile.
The boys got to take a few shots to practice their swing. They are way better than I ever was.
Met up with Andrew & Shelly, and Scott & Ali for dinner at a new food truck park in Walkers Point. Such a perfect summer day.

Moments 07 19 :: Week 02
Quick and very spicy dinner with some of our favorites before they headed to Summerfest.
The Saturday am bike gang. Brian left for Japan Saturday morning, so it was just me this week. Another fun ride with a very patient group of people.
The USA women's soccer team won the World Cup. So exciting!
Stealth mode.
Once a month in the summer, downtown Milwaukee hosts a Night Market. We went later than we would have liked but H had to work. Super crowded, but a fun thing to do.
C participated in an Ajax Coaching Academy soccer camp this week with one of his club soccer friends. I imagine this may be one of his last soccer camps since he'll be starting high school, which is kind of sad. He absolutely loved it.
Hanging out with Sonny Silooy. A seriously fun week.

4th of July
What a great 4th of July it was. H had to work from 12pm-6pm, so we decided to stick closer to home for most the day. We went to the Whitefish Bay parade for the first time ever. It was so much fun! My friend lives near the route. We parked our bikes in her garage, then went to their house after for a bit. C ended up hanging out with a bunch of friends and coming home later in the afternoon. In the evening, we went out to Chenequa and met the family for dinner and fireworks. Such a perfect setting. Such a great day.
Moments 07 19 :: Week 01
Maiden voyage on the bicycles last weekend. Nice little ride up to Thiensville.
Last month I agreed to do a 1-mile a day challenge. This one joined me every day except one at the beginning, before I decided it to make it our thing. We both loved it, and have been keeping it up. Unfortunately, the Storm guy is good for the .75 mile loop, then is done. So it's been just Gretel and me.
H & C both had a free day on Monday! They road their bikes and went fishing. Caught a rock bass that they grilled up. We've been limiting it to one fish a week, because .... the river.
In the afternoon, we went strawberry picking!
I love that these guys still want to join me to do this.
We had picked up a pool at the hardware store and tried to get Gretel in it. She used to love these things, but wasn't too sure about it this time around.
Brian, Scott & I rode bikes down to Summerfest. (photo from Scott's IG feed)
Saw Chvrches, which was amazing. Also saw a couple songs by Young the Giant. Also incredible. Such a great night.
Just a peaceful moment this week that I wanted to remember.
